team neusta and CONTACT Software at CONTACT Open World 2026

Working Together Toward Industrial AI

Bremen, September 8, 2026. On September 23 and 24, the World Conference Center Bonn will open its doors for CONTACT Open World 2026, CONTACT Software’s in-house digital transformation conference. As a CONTACT partner, team neusta will be on-site and actively contributing to the program with its own presentations, workshops, and guided tours. Following their joint exhibition appearance at the Hannover Messe in April, CONTACT Open World marks the next joint public appearance by both companies.

Since its first edition in 2001, CONTACT Open World has been one of the major community events in the field of digital transformation. Every two years, the B2B conference brings together customers, partners, leading industry players, and interested parties from industry and the digital transformation sector. In 2024, the event attracted around 700 international guests. This year, the focus is on Industrial AI: Numerous CONTACT customers—including MANN+HUMMEL, thyssenkrupp Automotive, Grundfos, Weidmüller, and Siemens Mobility, as well as international companies such as Apollo Tyres, Kalyani, and Sumitomo Riko, and the startup H2Green Oil—will provide insights into their digital transformation projects and demonstrate how companies can turn their vision into tangible added value. In topic-specific workshops, experts will work together with customers and partners to develop concrete solutions spanning the entire product lifecycle—from virtual engineering and the software-defined factory to smart services for after-sales. The conference will open with a keynote address by CONTACT Managing Director Maximilian Zachries.

From “Impact at the Push of a Button” to the Design Sprint

team neusta presents an example from the PLM environment: Changes are among the most expensive and time-consuming processes in the product lifecycle because impact analyses often have to be compiled manually—a process that can take days and spans multiple systems. Felix Skandera and Sebastian Schmidt demonstrate how an autonomous agent could reduce this work to just a few minutes by consolidating “where-used” data from CONTACT Elements with inventory and cost data from SAP to produce a well-founded assessment. A concrete case study illustrates where the agent acts as a bridge between the two systems—and where human decision-making is intentionally retained. The presentation is complemented by the AI Design Sprint, a method that turns a vague idea into a concrete, evaluated use case. “We’ll demonstrate the added value that team neusta and CONTACT can deliver together,” says Skandera. That’s why both companies are particularly looking forward to the professional exchange with customers on-site, as well as to exploring joint opportunities and further deepening the collaboration between the two companies.

In addition, Alexander Schülke, together with David Ruh, will lead two workshops: “Design Thinking in Lightning Decision Jams” addresses the question of how project teams under time pressure can create space for creative solutions and collaboratively decide on the best option. The approach, based on the Design Sprint concept, can be applied in any project phase without prior experience, thereby laying the foundation for further teamwork. The “AI User Flow Prototypes” workshop focuses on how AI can be used to quickly create interactive prototypes that serve as the basis for usability testing—a process that would otherwise take a significant amount of time to implement.

Participants will experience how ideas can be validated against requirements so quickly and what new technological possibilities this opens up for Design Sprints and prototype-driven projects.

team neusta’s presentation will be rounded out by a guided tour on the topic “Artificial Intelligence—Recognizing Potential, Creating Competitive Advantages.”
