Sales representative workstation application for VW Financial Services

We are currently developing and maintaining the sales assistant applications (VAP) for SEAT/CUPRA and ŠKODA on behalf of Volkswagen Financial Services AG. As a digital assistant in car dealerships, this application combines the possibilities of vehicle configuration, customer management, and the calculation and creation of leasing and financing offers and services.

Shortcuts to the project

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, Volkswagen Financial Services AG, part of Volkswagen Group Mobility, manages the European finance and mobility services business for the Volkswagen Group brands. The company is active in 18 markets through subsidiaries, investments, and joint ventures, making it the largest automotive financial services provider in Europe. Our project began with stabilizing and optimizing the sales representative workstation for SEAT/Cupra in order to increase usage and acceptance among sales representatives. After successful implementation, we continued to develop the system. In the next step, we developed the ŠKODA workplace to market maturity. The developers then accompanied the introduction and stabilization. To date, the workplace is being expanded with new functions in comfort and regulatory compliance. The project team consisted of an average of 12 to 20 specialists, including developers, testers, and project managers.

Our approach

  1. Support and further development:

A central component of the project is the continuous optimization and maintenance of the sales workstation applications. Through proactive measures, we ensure that the applications remain both stable and functionally up to date. This includes: Bug fixes and performance optimizations Regular maintenance work to ensure operational continuity Enhancements to improve the range of functions.

  2. New launches:

We developed and implemented new workstations for ŠKODA, AEFS, and service companies. The new systems offer improved workflows and increased system compatibility.

  3. Improvement of applications

Continuous improvement of existing applications is essential for the success of the project. Important measures include: Ensuring system stability to guarantee uninterrupted work processes. Increasing customer satisfaction through intuitive user guidance and optimized UI elements. Simplifying sales processes through improved navigation and more efficient user guidance. Adapting to regulatory requirements, in particular the implementation of the 2022 purchase law reform. Integrating new technologies and platforms, in particular migrating to Azure Stack to increase performance and scalability.

  4. Long-term effects:

The measures implemented are intended to achieve long-term positive effects: Restoring acceptance of the applications among retailers through a stable and user-friendly environment. Promoting sales processes through a powerful and optimized working environment that supports retailers and salespeople alike. Transition from the waterfall model to the SAFe model, including the introduction of ToolChain to make efficient use of agile development methods.

Sustainable partnership and technological modernization

The successful support and further development of the sales representative workplace applications has strengthened VW Financial Services in the long term. The applications for SEAT/CUPRA and ŠKODA have become indispensable tools for dealers and are an essential part of the sales processes in Germany.
In addition, technological modernization was implemented by migrating the systems to new technologies such as Azure Stack. This ensures higher performance and long-term sustainability of the applications.
We successfully achieved the goals we set ourselves, and close cooperation with VW Financial Services remains a cornerstone for future innovations in sales.

Let's move your project forward together!
